Cracked it on the first try in my backyard, which surprised me since I've never used a real leather whip before. The tan cowhide has a nice weight to it and the 6-foot length feels right for practicing indoors. Only gripe is the fall could be a touch longer, but it's held up fine after a few weeks.

The 8-plait braiding is tight and even all the way down, so it handles a decent crack without feeling flimsy. Took a couple days to work the stiffness out of the leather, but the balance is solid for the price.
