James X. ★★★★★

That 4-foot model has just the right balance of crack and control for close-in target practice. The shot loading in the handle gives it a nice, solid heft without feeling sluggish.

Ella ★★★★★

The 12-strand kangaroo hide cracks loud and clean right out of the box, and that shot-loaded core gives the fall real weight on the throw. I went with the 6 foot and it rolls out smooth without any of the stiffness I expected from a new whip.

Violet ★★★★☆

The dark brown kangaroo hide looks even richer in person than in the photos, and the 12-strand construction feels tightly woven with no loose gaps. I went with the 6-foot and it handles nicely, though the shot-loaded fall takes some getting used to if you're coming from a lighter whip.
